Stay Home Stay Safe

When you think about it, 2020 lockdown was a crazy time, forced to stay home with so little interaction with the outside world. I can understand how hard it was for some people being at home, sometimes in tiny space and for some by themselves. I was lucky enough not to be in these situations and so I decided to make the most of this weird time with my camera. I am mostly into street photography but I couldn’t imagine just putting away my photography gear and let it get dusty until we can shoot outside again. Here are a few results of experiments I made at that time.

Stay Home Message

Model: Lucie (Instagram: @lucievigey)

This portrait was made as part of a confinement photo challenge organised by Loca Images on Instagram. I hand written “#stayhome” under one shoe and tried to figure out how to play with it. One of the few pictures with an okay result from that session was this one made from one floor below in our building stairway.

Stay Home and read

Who would spend your coffee break with? Sherlock or James?

Books and coffee being quite an addiction for a long time I used both to practice still photography and as doing so I might as well align the chocolate top with the situation.

Stay Home and clean your gear

Getting into still photography at that time was surely an easy call but at list it got me to clean all the camera laying around and, in the end, get a family group picture!

Stay Home and eat fruits

Stay Home and eat nuts

Very narrow gap between eating them ang getting one of them after a few weeks of lockdown!
